Positive, Negative – Mexico City

Positive are the layers beneath and within, hidden scores conceived as ink drawings of land and boundary lines I experienced in Mexico City

Referencing old Papel Picados I saw throughout the city, Negative was the space around and between, physically close but spiritually distant – the drawings transformed into negatives (cut outs) that move into different architectural poses and are performed as textile, with texture.  This is the first stage before the Negatives are made into a paper quilt

The Positives (of the Negatives) became new scores that are being composed with instructions for performance under the sun only

Sound pieces coming soon
